Can we get a decision as to which section her books belong in? Right now they are in both the main bibliography and the "by other authors". Aside from Thrones, Dominations a case could be made for either, but both is just silly. --Khajidha (talk) 19:17, 5 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have been bold and removed them from the "by other authors". My reasoning is that 1) Thrones, Dominations was a completion of Sayers' unfinished work, 2) A Presumption of Death incorporated material from The Wimsey Papers, and 3) those and the subsequent books were "written with the co-operation and approval of Sayers' estate" (as stated in the articles for the later titles). To me, this puts them in a different class than other works. I am not averse to doing things the other way round, but a return to the double listing should not be made. --Khajidha (talk) 14:48, 8 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I strongly disagree with the approach of regarding the Paton Walsh books as "canonical". They should be treated separately from Sayers' original stories. I particularly dislike the note in the first sentence that Wimsey is "later the 17th Duke of Denver", with no indication that this is not based on the work of Sayers. I suggest that the main article be written from the perspective of Sayers's published work only, with a section towards the end detailing Paton Walsh's developments. (I am willing to make the change if it receives support here.)JBritnell (talk) 15:37, 17 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Many events throughout this article are alleged, without sources, to have taken place on specific dates or in specific years. Some quote other dates that are not supportable from the texts themselves, including "Visiting the Fen country in Easter 1930" (1930 not specified in The Nine Tailors (1934)), and "While on a fishing holiday in Scotland later in 1930" (date unspecified in Five Red Herrings (1931)). Unless external sources can be found for all such events I suggest re-ordering the timeline so that it corresponds to the publication dates. MichaelMaggs (talk) 11:08, 16 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
