There is an issue with the number of deaths

"between 200,000 and 1,000,000 Tibetans may have died",Is it really credible that Tibet had only one million people in 1950, with one million deaths? Surprisingly, it was even written in. 103.40.79.14 (talk) 19:27, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It says between. The actual number is not known.
If you check the historical populations table in Tibet Autonomous Region, the 200,000 number seems quite plausible. And then there were other Tibetan regions as well.
In any case, I have removed the 1,000,000 figure because it is an WP:EXCEPTIONAL claim, and better sources would be needed. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 19:42, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
