Please don't add colors to text -- and welcome!

[edit]

While I like the idea in the abstract, we don't add colored text to articles just because it's neat, cool or cute. Please check out the links in the following boilerplate message:

Welcome

[edit]

Hello, welcome to Wikipedia.

Anyone can edit here, of course, but there are advantages to creating an account if you want to contribute on a regular basis. If you want to join up, create an account.

You might find these links helpful in creating new pages or helping with the tasks below: How to edit a page, How to write a great article, Naming conventions, Manual of Style. You should read our policies at some point too.

If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian!

And once you have an account, you can sign your name using three tildes, like this: ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too.

You can help improve the articles listed below! This list updates frequently, so check back here for more tasks to try. (See Wikipedia:Maintenance or the Task Center for further information.)

Fix spelling and grammar
None

Help counter systemic bias by creating new articles on important women.

Help improve popular pages, especially those of low quality.

Again, welcome! BCorr|Брайен 18:57, 16 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits to September 9

[edit]

Dear 205.213.195.20,
Some of your edits on the page September 9 have been undone by PseudoBot, a robot built to keep the date pages tidy. The problems are:

The person you added doesn't seem to have a Wikipedia page.

If the page exists, check that you've spelled and capitalized the name the same way as the article, and try again. If it doesn't yet exist, read this page carefully before creating it. In particular, you shouldn't create a page about yourself or anyone you know personally. If this bot has got it wrong (as can unfortunately happen), please accept its author's apologies, and (if you would like) leave a message on this talk page with the details, so it can be improved. Speedy deletion of Talk:Type 2 diabeties

[edit]

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages such as Talk:Type 2 diabeties, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Intel Core with this edit do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Tgeairn (talk) 17:18, 14 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Intel Core with this edit. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you.  Velella  Velella Talk   17:20, 14 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bear Hibernation

[edit]

If a bear farts during hibernation, it will then create a warm spot in the cave it is in. Being asleep, the bear will be tricked into thinking it is already spring, therefore making said bear, awake. The bear is confused and then goes to kill anything to take out his/hers anger. That is why bears should not fart during hibernation.
